One of the questions I always get from the anti enterprise 2.0 crowd is, “Seriously, isn’t micro-blogging* a gigantic waste of time?” The problem in responding is that the person already has a strong opinion, so I can’t just defend micro-blogging. If I did, people would tune me out as soon as I got to “it’s a real time information network that….” To combat this, I ask one of three questions.
There are more benefits than the answers to those three questions, but from there I can frame the conversation into a more productive discussion. Hopefully, they help you have the conversation with your employee or client to get the ball rolling. So let’s get to the questions:
- How do you bridge knowledge gaps within your company?
- How do you measure someone’s influence amongst their co-workers?
- How do you monitor and recognize problems within your company?
