Increasing bespoke applications

I am still amazed at how the legitimate boundaries of intranets are being pushed away from information management.

At Claromentis almost all new projects now include bespoke applications as part of the Intranet - long may it continue!

As professionals we discuss design, usability and best practice in information management - but basically these are well understood and I see a massive increase in value when the intranet includes significant applications that make a real difference to operations.
